Lesson 1
Basic Rules
Cricket is played between two teams of 11 players. One team bats, the other bowls/fields. The batting team scores runs, while the bowling team tries to dismiss batters.
- Runs are scored by hitting the ball and running or by boundaries (4s and 6s).
- Batsmen are out via bowled, caught, LBW, run out, or stumped.
- Each innings has a set number of overs.

Each role has unique importance:
- Batsmen: Focus on scoring runs with consistency.
- Bowlers: Deliver balls aiming for wickets and economy.
- All-Rounders: Balance both batting and bowling duties.
- Wicketkeeper: Specialist fielder behind the stumps.

Important elements of match strategy:
- Batting: Rotate strike, build partnerships, accelerate when needed.
- Bowling: Mix pace and length, target weaknesses, use field settings effectively.
- Captaincy: Read the game situation and make timely changes.
