Lesson 1
Basic Rules
Football is played between two teams of 11 players on a rectangular field with goals at each end. The aim is to score by getting the ball into the opponent’s goal.
- The match is divided into two halves of 45 minutes each.
- The ball must stay in play within the boundary lines.
- Goals are scored when the entire ball crosses the goal line between the posts.
- Only goalkeepers may use their hands — all others use feet, head, or body.
Lesson 2
Player Positions
Common positions and their roles:
- Goalkeeper: Protects the goal and organizes defense.
- Defenders: Prevent attacks and clear the ball.
- Midfielders: Link defense and attack, control possession.
- Forwards: Focus on scoring and creating goal opportunities.

Basic Strategy
Effective teams rely on shared tactics:
- Maintain compact shape to reduce opponent space.
- Use width to stretch defenses and create opportunities.
- Press as a unit to win back possession.
- Build attacks patiently from the back when possible.
